Haha 4/7 gave me this photo. Juli says they all look like they're glowing in radiance and innocence. Haha the power of photographs.

Ok this is long overdue. I have so many things to say to 4/7. I remember how they always wanted to ask me stuff in class when I was still teaching them. And how I would say that I would answer them on my last day.

But I never got to doing it. And it's a bit of a regret actually, cos now it's hard to actually tell all of them the things I wanted to.

I like 4/7. I remember how nervous I was when I first went into their class. They didn't know it, but it was the first time I was taking a class so huge.

When Prema told me I was to help her take her Sec4 classes, I reeled. Sec 4? They would talk back, and be mean and bully relief teachers. But then Prema told me that 4/7 is a good class. And so did the many teachers when I told them it was 4/7 I was taking. haha


I remember 4/7 being really noisy when I went in. But then they knew when to stop and listen (most of the time anyway!) and they lived up to their name. They were a pleasure to teach and a pleasure to talk to. They made things a lot easier for me, and made walking into their class so much less daunting. I remember how I mixed so many of them up, and how bad I would feel about it. Perhaps at that point they must have felt that they meant little to me, but it never was the case. On the other hand, I was thinking how they all must have thought of me!
I remember how comfortable it is to just talk to them in class about practically anything. I remember all their smiles, all their greetings in and out of class. It's really the little things that they do that make them all the more endearing.


I don't know why I can click well with them. Perhaps it's the smaller age gap. Perhaps it's the way they regard me. But no matter what, I'm glad to have had the chance to get to know them. The special thing is that I get along well with practically the whole class, which is unlike the other upper sec classes that I like as well.

It's funny how both our schools were so close to each other for 3 whole years and then how our lives suddenly got entwined with one another. I bet that I must have taken the bus with many of them. Or seen many of them around the vicinity before. It didn't matter then. But now it does :D

I used to think that I would come work, and then leave without having an attachment to the school or the people in it. It didn't turn out this way; I like the people there; I like most of the students there; and then there's the upper sec classes that I have come to like so much.

To 4/7, one of my dearest classes:

I'm sorry the cards I made for you were a little short. Lack of time and lack of space :P

But there's a lot more that I remember about you than what I wrote in there, some of which cannot be expressed easily in words ;)

It's a pity that I don't really have the chance to talk to all of you regularly and get to know you all better. And if for some reason or another I have failed you, especially during the times when I was teaching you guys, I'm truly sorry.

Study hard. I know it's very stressful, but manage your time and priorities well, and then stress will only be a minor problem. Take time to rest and play. Don't study until you go crazy! Don't be afraid to dream big! You guys are capable of so much, perhaps even more than what you think! Do not let anyone, or anything, tell you otherwise. It matters not that you have failed yourselves before, because what is important is what lies ahead. Let your failures push you on, not drag you down! Show yourself that you can do it. I have faith in you all.

I really hope you all will do well, and be happy no matter what life throws at you. All of you have been very sweet and wonderful, and I don't really want you to change. Haha, but change is inevitable, so be careful of how you will grow up ok! I don't want to see Ah Beng gangsters or bums or anything like that ah!!!

If you ever see me around outside, and if I don't see you, please come say hi to me! No matter what I won't ever forget you all, so no worries there ;)
